We have various volunteer opportunities in diverse areas of interest. To be considered, submit the following application. Once you complete your application, and your application has been reviewed, you will receive information about your level of Clearance. Perkins has two levels of Volunteer Clearance described in the Attestation and Waivers section below.

Level 1 Clearance: Volunteer is able to participate in any Level 1 activities on the calendar of volunteer opportunities. These include group events and workdays. You must be at least 12 years old and attest to the waivers below to receive Level 1 clearance.
Level 2 Clearance: Volunteer has matched with an available current opportunity that includes the need for additional clearance due to the nature of the assignment and proximity to the student body. You must be at least 15 years old to participate in Level 2. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to explore Level 2 opportunities to find a match, then begin the clearance process.

Following completion of the application process, you can select an available opportunity from our volunteer calendar.

Attestation and Waivers

Dear Volunteer Applicant-

Perkins has two levels of volunteer clearance.

Level 1 clearance allows you to participate in all Level 1 activities on the calendar of volunteer opportunities. These include group events and workdays. You must be at least 12 years old and attest to the waivers below to receive Level 1 clearance.

Level 2 clearance allows you to participate in all Level 2 activities on the calendar of volunteer opportunities. These include individual volunteer opportunities. In addition to Level 1 clearance above, to receive Level 2 clearance you must be at least 15 years old. You must provide a copy of your Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination record. You must also complete a state of Massachusetts EEC background check with Perkins. The background check process starts with completing the EEC form and sharing an official photo ID. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to begin the Level 2 clearance process and include Level 2 clearance request in the subject line.

We are grateful for you taking the time to complete volunteer clearance levels with us. Some clearance levels are state required, and some clearance levels are required by Perkins to support student and campus safety. The entire process of completing forms should not take more than a half hour and often takes much less time than that.
