Sam Berman is a member of the Howe Innovation Center Advisory Group.

He is a passionate disability and mental health advocate who was born with cerebral palsy. With 11 years working in the digital accessibility and tech education spaces, Sam brings a range of intersectional experiences to the advisory group. He stumbled on accessibility while attending a web development bootcamp in 2016, after spending 2 years teaching computer and smartphone literacy to a group of young adults with disabilities and a second group of older adults.

Since then, he’s held a few positions in accessibility and quality assurance, led accessibility trainings, and published articles about topics at the intersection of technology and disability advocacy. Currently, as an Accessibility Analyst at Hilton, he leads accessibility of the Shop pod, ensuring that Hilton’s search and shopping experiences are easy to use for everyone.
