Program Manager, Latin America and the Caribbean
Maísa Owens is an experienced professional in advancing educational programs targeted at youth. Maísa has a background working with immigrant-based communities and second-generation students while providing mentorship assistance to young populations. She has worked on building and maintaining community partnerships with multiple stakeholders across different sectors. Maisa brings her wide range of experiences within the private sector, academia, and nonprofit settings to oversee the programmatic aspects of Perkins International programs in Latin America and the Caribbean to ensure that every child has access to quality education. Maísa holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations (Anhembi Morumbi University/São Paulo) and a Master’s of Arts in Law and Diplomacy with concentrations in International Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Human Security (The Fletcher School at Tufts University). She speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
