M.Ed., TVI, CVI Certificate Program
Lacey Smith is the CVI Parent Community Manager at the Perkins CVI Center. She has worked closely with young children with visual impairments, multiple disabilities, rare diseases, and dual sensory loss, providing consultation and support to students, families, and their teams. She holds a Master’s in Education as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) from UMass Boston and a Graduate Certificate in Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Lacey’s passion for this work was inspired by her 13-year-old daughter’s CVI diagnosis, and she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and support families through her own lived experience.
