Director of Learning Experience Design, Perkins Academy
Kerry Foley is an accomplished learning experience designer and educator with a dynamic career spanning over 15 years in the fields of online pedagogy, course design, video production, and educational media. Prior to joining Perkins, Kerry served adult learners in a variety of instructional design and media technology roles at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Division of Continuing Education, where she led teams with expertise in asynchronous course development, learning experience design, and multimedia production. Kerry teaches the course Designing Educational Media for Harvard Extension School’s Learning Design and Technology graduate certificate program, which she designed based on her own professional experience combining pedagogical best practices with media design, technology, user experience, accessibility, and product development.
Kerry’s academic credentials include a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Television, Radio, and Film from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Public Communications. Deeply committed to inclusivity, Kerry considers it an honor and a privilege to design Perkins Academy courses for teachers and related service providers who are committed to helping children with disabilities find their place in the world.
