Associate Director, College Success and Compass Coach
Kate Katulak is a former teacher at Perkins School for the Blind, where she taught technology, executive functioning and math in the Secondary Program. She was also a representative on Perkins’ Expanded Core Curriculum Steering Committee and helped design curricula across content areas. In 2016, Kate was a co-facilitator of Perkins’ Pre-Employment Program, a workshop that equips students with visual impairment with the skills they need to get a job. Prior to her arrival at Perkins, Kate taught students with visual impairments and provided professional training to colleagues at Stamford Public Schools. She also worked in a psychology research lab at Yale University. Kate has a master’s in education with a concentration in blindness and visual impairment from Columbia University’s Teachers College and a B.A. in Psychology from Wright State University.
