Jie Shu Qu “Susan”

Susan is a not only a special educator but the Director and CEO for Bethel CHINA, providing home and school services for children who are blind and visually impaired. In 2006, she received her degree from the Nanjing Normal University of Special Education and an advanced degree in 2011 from Beijing Union University. While at Perkins, Susan hopes to learn more about children with multiple disabilities and advanced methods and skills in the education of children with visual impairments. When she returns to China, she will set up a classroom for children with multiple disabilities and vision loss and create parent learning groups sharing strategies she has learned through the program.
