Senior Director at the CVI Center at Perkins
Ilse Willems is the Senior Director of the CVI Center at Perkins. She has worked at Perkins since 2010, working with students with visual impairments, dual sensory loss, and multiple disabilities, as both a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) and a Teacher of the Deafblind. Ilse holds a Bachelor’s in Child Development and Wellbeing from the College of the Holy Cross, a Masters in Severe Special Education with a concentration in Deafblindness from Boston College, and a Masters in Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. She was also in the first cohort to receive a graduate certificate in Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment from UMass Boston.
