Dimitra Nellopoulou

Dimitra is a special education teacher at SYZOI. Her interest in sensory disabilities began during her bachelor’s degree and impacted her decision to get a degree in Greek Sign Language. She became especially interested in international research in the field of deafblindness and deafness. Now, Dimitra holds a master’s degree in deafblindness from the University of Groningen (2021), with a BA in Special Education from the University of East London-Metropolitan College (2019). When she returns to Thessaloniki, Greece, she will work directly with the Early Intervention Program, sharing information, knowledge and skills with the professional team who are educating children with multiple disabilities including deafblindness.
