About

Daniella Mini is a writer and a special education advocate practicing in Connecticut. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Daniella immigrated to the United States in 2000 in search of better opportunities for her son, Diego, who is diagnosed with autism and intellectual disability.

Daniella earned her undergraduate degree from Amherst College and her graduate degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Columbia University Teachers College. After working as a special education teacher in NY and CT for 17 years, she transitioned to special education advocacy in April 2024.

In 2019, Daniella launched her blog, publicponder.com, and Weekly Ponder newsletter, to share stories about Diego, how his mind works, and her journey as his mom. Over time, Daniella has branched out into many other topics, including aging, travel, family and dogs. Diego, however, remains her favorite subject.

She is currently working on a memoir, sharing her parenting journey with raw honesty and offering a heartwarming and hilarious set of lessons learned from her disabled son’s unique way of navigating life, love and friendship.

Daniella lives in Greenwich, CT, with her husband, Cesar. She has two sons, Diego and Andres.
