Assistant Director, College Success @ Perkins
Candice Cole joins Perkins School for the Blind as the Assistant Director of College Success. Passionate about working with marginalized youth and families, Candice brings extensive experience in coaching, advising, counseling, and facilitating workshops (for primarily first-generation and income-eligible youth) to her role.
With a Master’s Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from Suffolk University and a Bachelor’s of Science in General Management Studies from Bridgewater State University, Candice brings a servant leadership approach to each coaching session. Prior to joining Perkins School for the Blind, Candice worked in the non-profit sector, serving in a variety of roles, such as College Readiness Advisor, Academic Counselor, Workshop Facilitator, Student Financial Services Counselor, and Academic Coach with different universities and public schools in Boston, MA.
Candice’s primary focus as the Assistant Director of College Success is to prepare students in the BVI community for success while proactively exploring and developing an action plan to help them reach their post-secondary goals. She is dedicated to modeling and teaching Perkins core values, building strong relationships, and empathetically listening and communicating with all members of the Triad.
