Anne V. McComiskey, M.Ed., TVI

Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Early Vision Education Specialist

About

Throughout Anne’s many decades working in early education for families who have a child with a visual impairment or blindness, it has been stunningly apparent to her that family support, information, and confidence can/will make or break the developmental and personal success of the child. Because Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment is so prevalent and so confusing she wrote Babies with CVI: Nurturing Visual Abilities and Development in Early Childhood to help parents and other professionals collaborate to understand CVI better and to provide specific interventions that will stimulate a child’s brain plasticity thereby enhancing visual behavior and development.
