Ana Lucia is the representative to Perkins International Programs in Brazil. She is a graduate in physiotherapy by the University of São Paulo (USP) and holds a postgraduate degree in psychopedagogy from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). With 30 years of experience in providing care to babies, children, and youth with low vision and multiple disabilities, she is also a graduate of the Educational Leadership Program at Perkins School for the Blind. She has worked as a consultant for Perkins in Latin America in the areas of visual impairment, multiple disabilities, early intervention, and inclusion. For over 10 years, she served as the coordinator for Perkins International projects in the Subnormal Vision Department at Santa Casa de SP, where she developed training projects for the education and inclusion of children with visual and multiple disabilities in regular schools.

The ELP gave me the opportunity of sharing knowledge with several professionals and improving the services for children with visual impairments with or without additional disabilities in Brazil and Latin America.
