Ana Katusic

Katusic is an exceptional and valued trainer and mentor, with a background of over 15 years in special education.

Katusic is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb, Ana’s academic skills are augmented by her role as a senior research associate at the esteemed Scientific Center of Excellence (SCE) for basic, clinical, and translational neuroscience. Within this role, she assumes the vital position of coordinating the neurodevelopmental screening program tailored to premature infants—a pivotal endeavor for their well-being.
Her remarkable contributions extend to the establishment of the Early Motor Behavior Research Laboratory at her faculty. This endeavor has been made possible through scientific and research collaborations fostered within the SCE.

Katusic’s work focuses on early screening of prematurely born infants susceptible to motor and visual developmental challenges. Additionally, she assesses motor behavior and the integration of visual-motor skills. Her dedicated focus on this critical niche reflects her commitment to enhancing the lives of the youngest and most vulnerable members of society.

Within her capacity at Perkins, Katusic plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing developmental programs and training courses across Europe and most recently Central Asia. Her distinctive approach involves a fusion of her profound scientific knowledge and practical experience gained from her experience of many years in setting and implementing programs for children and youth with multiple disabilities at the Educational – rehabilitation center . This dynamic blend enables her to carve a unique path towards program development, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach that draws from both sides.

Katusic not only excels in her professional pursuits but also possesses a vibrant creative side. She finds delight in crafting poems and singing, infusing positivity and joy into every endeavor.
