About

Amy Pybus is an itinerant TVI in Early Intervention with Perkins School for the Blind and has worked with young children and their families for twenty years. From 2003-2015 she owned and operated a family home child care that served children from infancy to age eight. She has been presenting workshops on parenting, early childhood, and special education topics since 2001 for various audiences throughout the state of Massachusetts. She is a former parenting blogger, newspaper columnist for the Daily Hampshire Gazette, and presenter on WHMP radio in Northampton. She holds a Master’s in Elementary Education from AIC, a Master’s in Vision Studies from UMass Boston, and a Perkins-Roman CVI Range Endorsement. She feels privileged to work at Perkins serving young children and their families, and following in the footsteps of so many great educators in the the world of visual impairment.
