Ali Mahady M.S., is the Manager of CVI Outreach and Engagement at the CVI Center, and is part of the CVI Now team. She is the mother of Weston, who is a medically complex child with CVI and other disabilities. Ali understands the importance of children obtaining an early diagnosis of CVI and the need for individualized accommodations for children with CVI. Ali has a background in advocacy and volunteer work for children with disabilities. In 2021, she was appointed by the Governor to the Massachusetts Rare Disease Advisory Council, and she has served on several other advisory councils that support children with rare diseases and disabilities. Prior to joining Perkins, she worked for the federal government.
