Thirteen students from Perkins School for the Blind’s Secondary and Deafblind Programs are set to graduate this Friday in the school’s first-ever virtual commencement ceremony.
Because we can't honor them with the usual fanfare of a commencement procession through Dwight Hall, we’re proud to showcase the Class of 2020 online a little bit more than usual.
During their time as students, they let their personalities and interests shine, emerging as athletes, musicians, storytellers and, in some cases, jokesters.
They built social, communication, technology, vocational and independent living skills that will help them navigate life after Perkins.
And when world events changed the shape of their senior year, they responded with grace and tenacity, never losing track of their educational goals.
Now, they’re ready to take their first steps into adulthood. We’re so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and we can’t wait to see what they go on to do next!
Join us in congratulating the class of 2020 by sharing a message of support!
