Psychedelic swirls of color. Long hair and love beads. The 2013 Perkins Possibilities Gala thrilled partygoers with a swingin' good time that celebrated peace, love and another proud year of accomplishment.

From a powerful video that documented Perkins International's partnerships in India, to memorable presentations by students and alumni of Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, the event showcased many of Perkins' finest moments from the previous 12 months.

Grooving to the music of Orleans and the Perkins Secondary Chorus, Gala attendees raised more than $1.5 million for Perkins education programs and services on campus and in 67 countries around the globe.

In addition to the celebration, the crowd of nearly 600 stood united in admiration and appreciation during a special dedication to Watertown's finest first responders, who protected the students, teachers and staff in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Ultimately, the night's success capped an effort years in the making: the completion of the Touch Our World Comprehensive Campaign, which generated $136 million to support and expand Perkins' impact around the world.
