The Perkins School for the Blind on-campus educational programs are led by multifaceted, dedicated teams who are knowledgeable about visual impairment and multiple disabilities.
In 2007 Jessica started working as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments for Community Programs. While working in Community Programs she also held positions as the Assistive Technology Liaison, Lead Teacher and Assistant Education Director from March 2015 through August 2019. Jessica has her master of special education from the University of Massachusetts and her director of special education licensure through Northern Colorado University. She has been working in the Secondary Program since August 2019.

Patrick began working at Perkins in the Secondary program in 2005, where he spent time as a Teaching Assistant, Assistant Coordinator, and Coordinator of residential living. In 2014, Patrick received his Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts. From 2014 to Fall of 2020 Patrick worked in Perkins Community Programs as the Supervisor of Outreach programs before returning to Secondary in his current capacity as Assistant Education Director.
Maureen began working in the Deafblind Program as a Teaching Assistant in 1997 while working on her Masters Degree in Special Education, with an emphasis in Deafblindness at Boston College. After completing her degree she began teaching in the Infant/Toddler Program. After 10 years with the Infant/Toddler program, Maureen worked in a public school system working with students who were Deafblind. In the public school setting, she worked with students from preschool through high school. In 2017, Maureen returned to Perkins Deafblind Program to continue to work with students and their families as Assistant Education Director.

In August of 2000, Kristin began her work in the Deafblind School as a teaching assistant. That winter she accepted a position as a classroom teacher while completing her master of special education with an emphasis in Deafblind studies from Boston College. Over the next 10 years, she taught students ages 12-16 and in the Deafblind Preschool. Kristin transitioned into the role of Education Coordinator for the 2011-2012 school year then to Assistant Education Director in the fall of 2020. During Kristin’s time at Perkins, she was active in supporting Perkins International by inviting members of the Education Leadership Program into her classroom and through consultations to schools in their native countries.

Ashley Wallace graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and received her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University in 2013. Her primary interests within the field include antecedent strategies and environmental modifications, as well as teaching functional communication as an appropriate alternative to challenging behavior. In addition, she enjoys teaching daily living skills (ADLs), meal skills, and assessing and targeting sleep treatment. For over a decade, Ashley has supervised behavioral services across home, school, community, and residential settings for students and adults with developmental disabilities. She has consulted with local schools on individual and classroom behavior management. Ashley has previously worked as BCBA at Perkins School for the Blind but is now one of the Assistant Education Directors in the Deafblind School.
