Updated 5/9/25 to include the webinar recording.
Students with visual impairments must develop strong skills to access and create digital math content. Join the Perkins School for the Blind and the TEAM (Tech Equity and Access in Math) Initiative for a session that will explore tools to help TSVIs to create lessons to build these skills, led by Dr. Tina Herzberg, Sara Larkin, and Susan Osterhaus.
The presenters will provide an overview of the newly developed Digital Math Checklists and additional resources tailored to different grade levels. They will also introduce the newly developed Manipulatives Checklist. These Checklists and resources will help teachers of students with visual impairments (TSVIs) ensure that their students possess the necessary knowledge and skills for success in today’s digital math classroom.
The session will be recorded. Please register, even if you cannot attend, to get access to the recording.

Please note, we may use these testimonials in future marketing or grant writing initiatives to help support this work.
This webinar and accompanying resources were created as part of the TEAM Initiative to support Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVIs) by developing digital math and math-related tech skills checklists to help educators systematically teach and track the skills students need to access and succeed in digital math environments. The TEAM Initiative also provides professional development webinars on math to equip educators with the tools, strategies and resources they need to effectively teach accessible digital math to students with visual impairments.
