To ensure the health and safety of our community, Perkins is open to invited visitors only. Visitors include anyone who is not an employee, intern, or co-op. Invited visitors must follow the protocols listed below when coming on campus.
Our outdoor facilities, including our playgrounds and outdoor spaces, are not open to the public.
What protocols must invited visitors follow?
Masking
- Masking in indoor spaces is required for all visitors if they have the potential to be in close contact with one or more students.
- Close contact is defined as within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes when indoors.
- Required masking for visitors applies to any size group and all visits or events.
- Visitors are permitted to remove masks while actively eating or drinking.
- Masks are optional outdoors.

Are the protocols the same for volunteers?
- The protocols for volunteers are separate from the visitor protocols. As a volunteer, you will receive details about requirements for coming on campus.

In order to ensure the safety of our community, all visitors to the Perkins campus should self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms at home prior to arrival on campus. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to campus and help safeguard the health of our community, which includes students with unique vulnerabilities.
COVID-19 Symptom List
- Fever (100.00 Degrees Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
- Cough (not due to another cause, such as chronic cough)
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache, when in combination with other symptoms
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
- Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to causes such as allergies), when in combination with other symptoms
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, when in combination with other symptoms
