Description
This micro-credential is awarded to individuals who have successfully completed and passed the Planning an Effective Transition self-paced tutorial. This tutorial provides the participant with the basic information and tools for planning an effective transition for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
Competency
In order to earn this micro-credential, participants will need to demonstrate the ability to identify the legal, assessment, planning and instructional requirements required for appropriate transition planning as well as the components of the transition plan.
Learning Outcomes/Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify the legal requirements of IDEA related to the transition from school to adult life for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
- Identify assessment, planning and instructional strategies that support an effective transition.
- Identify the components of the transition plan.
