Riley’s Transition to Middle School Video
Watch this advocacy video created by a rising middle school student and her friends!
Transitioning to a new school and tired of all those questions about blindness? Here is a fun way to educate teachers and peers!
The goals for this video were to:
- Introduce Riley to students and staff at the new school.
- Answer frequently asked questions.
- Teach basic blindness protocol.
- Introduce ISD staff that will be working in the building.
We had a ton of fun creating this! It was shared at the open house and at orientation at the school. I’m happy to report that it is already working! It’s made a big difference in how students and staff interact.
