Students develop work skills by performing many skills in real-life settings. The Perk Café at Perkins School For The Blind offers a wide variety of options for work.

Students participate in each step of the process, beginning by carrying the sign out to show that the Café is open.

The specific steps of the procedure will depend on what is happening in the Café that day, as well as on the goals and abilities of each individual student.
