Isabel: Demonstrating using the iPad and Bluetooth Keyboard with VoiceOver
Student demonstration of how to complete a homework assignment - using Mail, Google Forms, and Microsoft Word - on an iPad, Bluetooth keyboard and VoiceOver.
Isabel and her TVI, Chris Maniscalco, demonstrate a variety of iPad tasks as she completes a homework assignment using a Bluetooth keyboard and VoiceOver. Watch as Isabel explains each Bluetooth keyboard command – including how to work around the Google sign-in bug – as she completes the following tasks:
- Use rotor to quickly find Mail in the dock. Activate Mail.
- use Control+Up to find starting point (Mailboxes) and rotor down to list.
- Find and open a specific email and Control+Down to other side.
- Locate a link in the email and activate it.
- Sign-in Google – log in using Quick nav.
- Once Google Forms opens – go back to Home screen.
Isabel continues her demonstration – including how to avoid the automatic numbering bug:
- Use the rotor to quickly find Word. Activate Word.
- Use Control+Up to find starting point (Account Settings) and find New.
- Activate New and use Containers to find and activate Blank Document.
- Cycle back and forth from Google Forms to MS Word to complete answer sheet.
Finally, Isabel demonstrates how to save, title and share the Microsoft Word answer sheet.
