KanLovKids webcast presents a basic overview of low vision devices: hand magnifiers, stand magnifiers, hand telescopes, spectacle telescopes & more.

This webcast will present an overview of the basic devices — hand magnifiers, stand magnifiers, hand telescopes, spectacle telescopes, and light filters. Dr. Maino also discusses the basic procedures on how to teach individuals to use these devices.

Dr. Maino talks about the basics when it comes to using optical low vision devices. It is important for low vision rehab therapist, teachers of the visually impaired, orientation mobility therapist to have a basic understanding of how to teach individual how to use these devices so that they can use them correctly.

This webcast is presented in collaboration with Lions Clubs International Foundation, Kansas Lions, and Kansas School for the Blind.
