Exploring AI-Learners: An inclusive educational platform

Online games that have low vision and CVI options and are accessible with screen readers and switches!

AI-Learners is an educational platform designed for students with diverse abilities, offering personalized learning experiences in foundational math and literacy. Developed with a focus on accessibility, the platform integrates computer games and analytics to engage students while accommodating various needs, including those with vision impairments, autism, multiple disabilities, and other learning challenges.

Founded by Adele Smolansky, AI-Learners was inspired by her sister’s experience with Rett Syndrome. Motivated to create a more inclusive learning environment, Adele developed the platform to benefit students facing similar challenges. Today, AI-Learners serves schools nationwide, making strides in promoting accessibility and inclusivity in education.

AI-Learners leverages adaptive technology to tailor learning activities to individual student profiles. Through a range of interactive computer games, students can reinforce math and literacy skills in an engaging manner. The platform also has games that reinforce ECC skills such as counting money and telling time! The platform’s analytics provide educators with insights into student progress, enabling targeted interventions and support.

A key highlight of AI-Learners is its commitment to accessibility. The platform is compatible with screen readers, switches, eye gaze, and other AT.  It also comes with a plethora of visual enhancements, including ones designed for students with CVI.  For example, you can toggle between real images and illustrations for the counting/sorting fruit games, increase font sizes, and decrease visual complexity.
You can find more information about the software and even demo some of their games at ai-learners.com.  For questions and pricing information, contact [email protected].
