Archives staff are currently moving the collections from Flickr.com and the Internet Archive to digital-archives.Perkins.org. This move will facilitate research and accessibility standards that are in line with Perkins School for the Blind’s mission. All legacy content from the old sites will be brought into this platform with metadata that meets the Perkins Archives’ most current standards. Once moved off of the legacy collections, they will only be available on this platform. Until this process is finished, please consult the legacy sites to access all of Perkins’ digitized resources.
Our Flickr collections are undergoing a reparative metadata update, and consequently, most of our older collections are not up to our current standards of accessibility. If you need more of an image description than what is provided please contact the archives staff at [email protected] and we will provide you with one. Visit Perkins Archives Flickr site to explore our diverse collections or use the links provided on this page to explore the collections by topic.
If you’re interested in using any of our images, please see our Image Use and Licensing page for more information.
Perkins Archives’ digital collections are currently being migrated to from two legacy sites, Flickr and the Internet Archive. This new site allows us to provide these collections together with even higher standards of accessibility thanks to updated local and best practices in metadata and transcription, and a collection platform designed with accessibility in mind.
