Alphabet books are among a child’s first exposures to read aloud books and are important first steps to reading. Students with visual impairments should also have opportunities to learn about letters and phonetics through engaging, accessible alphabet books. Emerging readers love books that include audio clips of related sounds and clips of the book being read aloud.
