About the Podcast Hosts and Ann Phelan

Thea Mullis has been organizing travel programs for the neurodiverse populations for over 10 years! Her tours take students and people with disabilities all over the globe. She grew up on a farm outside of Savannah, GA and received a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Armstrong University.

Max Gould is a first-year Clinical PsyD student at Nova Southeastern University with a strong background in research and clinical work focused on children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities. He brings over a decade of experience from a therapeutic riding center, five years as a counselor on travel programs for young adults with disabilities, and has completed a rotation at a pediatric hospital. Max’s passion for advocacy in psychology inspired the creation of his psychology-based social media platforms, Maximizing Psychology, and the podcast, Brilliantly Wired.

Ann Phelan is Manager of Resources and Engagement of the Perkins Transition Center. She earned an MA and a CAGS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College and has a background in social work and school counseling. She holds a Transition Specialist Certificate (MA) and works with students and families preparing for “Turning 22.” Ann is a sexual educator specializing in supporting individuals with disabilities and has extensive experience in abuse and exploitation prevention. Her professional and family networks span across the United States. Through her work with families and advocates with disabilities  she promotes self-determination, leading to successful transition outcomes.
