Courses are open for enrollment now; classes begin in January.

The Perkins CVI Certificate Program

The Perkins CVI Certificate Program includes four self-paced courses that provide a strong foundation for any educator working with students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Created and taught by experts with hands-on classroom experience, each course incorporates best practices in an engaging format to help participants transform the lives of children with CVI.

Understanding the Impact of CVI

Learn the fundamentals of CVI, including its definition, prevalence, and associated conditions, dive into the sixteen visual behaviors associated with CVI, and explore strategies for supporting individuals with CVI.

Assessing Students with CVI

Gain expertise in assessing students using The Perkins CVI ProtocolSM, a comprehensive and inclusive educational assessment tool for students with CVI. Free for a limited time to qualified educators who download The Perkins CVI Protocol.
