The Perkins Library will remain closed beyond May 18th pending further safety guidance from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Governor Baker regarding safe re-opening protocols.

As we all anxiously look ahead beyond the peak days of the coronavirus, our thoughts turn to the day when we can begin to reopen the Perkins Library. Right now the consensus is that this will be a multi-phased approach beginning with library staff prepping the building for opening, then leading to a period of partial opening with limited hours and services, ending with resumption of full hours and services.

Library Services

Members can borrow books and magazines in a variety of formats and foreign languages while accessing free services like Newsline, where newspapers and magazines are read aloud over the phone.

Volunteer at the Library

Volunteers are an integral part of what makes the Library so successful. They help narrate books and magazines, review recording projects, inspect books, help with braille production and assist with other support tasks. Fill out an application and volunteer today.
