Halloween Jokes: Presentation Lesson

Spice up tech lessons (Powerpoint, Slides, Keynote) using Halloween jokes!

Powerpoint slide with

Laughter is the best medicine! Trying spicing up your tech lesson by throwing in some Halloween Humor! Each student can create two slides: the first slide has the question and the second slide has the answer. Encourage your student to include an image with each slide – each image must include an alt text description!

This is an inclusive activity for the whole class. The activity can be done with any device and any presentation app (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote), and with or without a screen reader.

Note: Students who cannot see the image still need to learn how to find and insert images into a presentation. This is a great opportunity for the student to practice self-advocacy skills by asking a peer to confirm the image and other visual aspects of his/her slide. The student should ask leading questions, such as the size of the font and picture, readability, etc.

Collaboration

Students can create their slide to be a part of a shared classroom presentation. As a class, go through each joke and enjoy the laughter!

Don’t want to create your own Halloween jokes? Students can use the jokes below and/or do a quick Internet search to find additional jokes!

Working with a young student who is not typing yet or is not ready to create his/her own slide? You can create a slide deck with Halloween jokes and have your student practice navigating through the slide show. Be sure that images have alt text descriptions!
