Volunteer at Perkins

Two girls laugh as they work on a project.

For the safety of our volunteer and on-campus populations we have suspended the use of volunteers on campus through June 29, 2020.

Volunteering at Perkins

Each of us has the power to improve the lives of others. And you don’t need to wait a single moment to do so. Just sign up today as a Perkins volunteer and you can help change the lives of people who are blind, deafblind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities.

Regardless of your background, skills or area of interest, we always need compassionate and capable individuals to join the Perkins family as volunteers. Whether you have just a few hours to give or are looking for a long-term opportunity, you can truly enrich the lives of the people we serve.

Many ways to help

You can work with children in the classroom or participate in evening activities for residential students. Build adaptive games in the Assistive Device Center or provide clerical support on Perkins' campus. Record audio books in our state-of-the-art studio or put your green thumb to work as a horticultural aide. Learn more about our possible volunteer opportunities.
