Join us on Tuesday, March 5th at 5 PM to celebrate the success of the exhibit "Touch This Page! Making Sense of the Ways We Read", a collaborative project with Northeastern and Harvard University.
This exhibit has helped to immerse people in the issues surrounding access and disability. "Touch This Page!" is an interactive exhibit on the early history of printing for the blind. Perkins has held this exhibit for the last few weeks for our staff, students and beyond to experience.
Using 3-D printing, the exhibit has introduced visitors to early US print technologies for the blind — especially Boston Line Type but also New York Type and Moon Type — and allow them to interact with those forms in new ways.
