The Pre-Employment Program (PEP) is an intensive weeklong program on Perkins Campus that equips blind or visually impaired young adults with the skills necessary for workplace success.

Critical skills at a critical age

  • Students will engage in an online webinar prior to the course and two follow-up online meetings with facilitators
  • Experiential learning – resume writing, interview skills, networking, onsite job visits, internships, summer employment, college work-study jobs and careers
  • Designed in collaboration with Dr. Karen Wolffe, a renowned international expert on career counseling for people who are blind or visually impaired, and led by Perkins educators
  • Real-life perspective from successful leading corporations such as Tufts Health Plan, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, Winter Wyman, Wells Fargo and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
