The art of cooking is increasingly being lost as young people find themselves with less time, and more options to "eat on the go".  Preparing a tasty, nutritious meal, however, does not need to be a daunting task and there are several tricks that blind and visually impaired young adults can use in the kitchen.  Join us for an opportunity to work on your holiday recipes, while receiving hands on training from experienced staff.  Meet professional chefs, learn to move confidently in your home kitchen, and get a glimpse into the world of food services.

This program targets several ECC skills with particular focus on the following:

  • Independent Living Skills
  • Career Education
  • Use of Assistive Technology
  • Recreation & Leisure Skills
  • Social Interaction Skills
  • Self-determination

Cost: $450
