CVI: What’s the Complexity?
Assessing and managing visual complexity throughout the school day for students with cortical visual impairment (CVI)

DATE: Saturday, February 10, 2018

INSTRUCTOR: Matt Tietjen, M.Ed., CTVI

Participants will move toward an advanced understanding of visual complexity and learn to use the What's the Complexity framework.

There will be a special emphasis on The CVI Range characteristic, "difficulty with complexity of objects," and we will explore a system for assessing the interpretation of images for students with CVI.

Through a video case study of a student with CVI, participants will gain hands on practice using What's the Complexity. As a group we will complete a finished version, which will go directly to the student’s team to provide guidance on school programming.
