In light of all of the developments with the Corona Virus and the Governor’s State of Emergency declaration at his Tuesday, March 10th press conference, it has become necessary to cancel the Beeping Egg Hunt. We know this is disappointing, but the health and well-being of everyone is of highest priority for all of us. As we have observed the number of COVID-19 cases grow in the Greater Boston area and across the country, the Number One priority for all of us must be to ensure that everyone remains safe.
Perkins School for the Blind is happy to bring you the 8th annual Beeping Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, with two separate hunts at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.
Please register for the event beforehand and arrive up to an hour before your hunt time to check in. We’ll meet at the Howe Building, on the Perkins campus, in Watertown, for snacks and tactile crafts before the egg hunt.
This event is free for all families and everyone is welcome! The hunt is accessible for children in strollers and wheelchairs.
Perkins' Beeping Egg Hunt is a specialized event for students with visual impairments and their families. Sighted family members are welcome to assist in finding eggs, but we ask for them to be mindful of the visually impaired participants. Perkins will be supplying the egg hunt bags, and all beeping eggs must be returned to Perkins after the hunt.
There will also be a sensory friendly hunt at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm for those who are interested. Please register accordingly if you and your family plan to participate.
