About this collection:

Photograph albums created by the Perkins Institution and Massachusetts School for the Blind for exhibition at the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, the St. Louis Exposition of 1904, and the San Francisco Exposition of 1915. 

The World’s Columbian Exposition album photographs document the Girls’ Department at the South Boston campus, the boys’ and girls’ Primary School and Kindergarten in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Photographs are predominately of students attending reading, arithmetic, manual training, music, and physical education classes.

Pictures are predominately of the campus, tactile learning devices, students attending reading, arithmetic, manual training, music, and physical education classes, and photographs of performances including recitals and theater productions.
