Biographical/Historical notes:

This collection contains 44 publications sent to Perkins from 1910-2010 which focusing on news relating to people who are blind and deafblind. Ninety percent of the collection’s periodicals were published in the United States. The Perkins Collection illustrates 100 years of news about the operation of organizations and facilities for people who are blind and deafblind, as well as advances in these fields.

This collection is primarily comprised of 44 periodicals received by Perkins School for the Blind from 1910-2010. Included are newsletters, newspapers and magazines from international and national organizations serving blind, deaf and deafblind persons. One recorded news disc from 1945 and one braille newsletter is included in this collection.
