Tenth and eleventh reports include material with broader focus: 10th (1867) includes “Report of the president on the systems of deaf-mute instruction pursued in Europe,” by E. M Gallaudet (pp.10-55); 11th (1868)  includes, as an appendix, the proceedings of the National conference of principals of institutions for the deaf and dumb (pp. 16-150), which includes papers on language lessons, discipline, the age for admission, the American system of deaf-mute instruction (Gallaudet), articulation, hereditary deafness, the college for deaf-mutes, trades, female teachers, etc.
