Overview

Join us for Orientation & Mobility Exploration Weekend

Come learn more about making and using maps, modes of transportation, the use of a white cane, how to get a white cane, what a blind access card is, how it applies to O&M, and so much more!

We will get out into the community and practice different modes of transportation in and around Boston.

*Participants will not be taught how to use a cane without having prior instruction – we will not be completing formal O&M evaluations*

Targeting Expanded Core Curriculum skills

The program targets several ECC skills with particular focus on the following:

  • Orientation & Mobility
  • Self-determination
  • Independent Living Skills
  • Social Interaction Skills
