Leading the Way Weekend

Students with visual impairments ages 14 -22 will explore kitchen safety, equipment adaptations, grocery stores and recipes, and to learn how to move more confidently in your home kitchen.

Join us for Leading the Way Weekend

Embark on a transformative weekend designed for young adults with visual impairments who aspire to develop their leadership skills.

This program will provide participants with essential skills, including communication, problem-solving, and team-building. Through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and mentorship from experienced leaders, you’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to inspire and guide others.

Targeting Expanded Core Curriculum skills

The program targets several ECC skills with particular focus on the following:

  • Independent Living Skills
  • Recreation & Leisure Skills
  • Social Interaction Skills
  • Self-determination
