Kids with visual impairment ages 7-12 years will be immersed in a multisensory experience as they touch, feel, explore and learn about the Spirit of America: Boston, Massachusetts. One of the central players in the American Revolution, Boston, possesses a wealth of activities, history, and information.
Engage in a sensory exploration
Perkins invites students who are visually impaired to engage all of their senses through exploring the many attractions this city has to offer. From museums to parks, to historical sites, our aim is to help youngsters improve interpersonal communications skills, self-esteem and teamwork, enhance academic skills, as well as spark intellectual curiosity.
