Audio Reviewer 

Description: The audio reviewer acts as a "proof-listener." Listening to the recorded material produced in the studio while reading along with the printed text, the reviewer listens for errors in the narration and marks the print text for correction.

Program: Braille & Talking Book Library

Time Commitment: Approximately two hours per week for one year.

More Information: The Braille and Talking Book Library at Perkins School for the Blind provides over 100,000 book titles in braille, digital and cassette tapes to patrons throughout the New England area.

Library staff provide volunteers with training. Volunteers should have good attention to detail, thoroughness, good vision, hearing, a high degree of self-motivation, good command of American English and a broad literary background.
