Two great products find each other
I have posted several blogs that have to do with reading and I am about to do it again. Please be tolerant of my love of reading.
In the past few months, hundreds of the new NLS digital players have made their way into the homes and backpacks of people who qualify for the service. Since I am in love with my Victor Reader Stream and downloading NLS books, I kind of ignored this new player. I understood its value for all the non computer users but I was just sticking with Victor.
A couple of weeks ago Perkins started selling the blank NLS cartridges for these players. Now we can go to the BARD website and download all those books on this lovely little cartridge. I decided I had better give this a try.
I have many, many books downloaded onto my computer, waiting to be read. Friday afternoon is my favorite day of the week because I can download newly listed books while I am doing other real work. Today I took a cartridge and a cable and gave it a try. I really am not the most technical person in the world and this was really easy. In moments, I had 7 books on my 1 gig cartridge.
The new player has 2 wonderful features that are superior to the smaller players. The nicolevolume and sound quality are amazing. I am looking forward to hours of reading in the car and sharing books with whoever is driving. When I am home alone, I can use this player without headphones and do all kinds of things around the house.
Imagine how happy I am to know I can find even more times and places to read.
The problem is, the more I read, the more I want to read.
