Thomas H. Perkins Legacy Society
Colonel Thomas Handasyd Perkins, our first Planned Giving donor, left his family home to a school that educated children who were blind that became Perkins School for the Blind. Since 1829, thousands of children and clients have benefited from Colonel Perkins' lasting legacy.
To honor the Colonel's spirit of giving, and to honor others who have made gifts that provide for a lasting legacy, Perkins has established the Thomas H. Perkins Legacy Society. Supporters who have included Perkins in their estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or life income gift are eligible to join.
Planned gifts are a special way of ensuring that your support for Perkins will continue for years to come. Depending on your individual form of gift, there may be significant income and tax benefits available to you or your family. You should always consult an attorney when deciding how to participate in these special giving programs.
