2012 Taste of Perkins

Photo of guests being led into the tasting room to experience sweet, savory and wine samples while blindfolded during the 2012 Taste of Perkins.

This year's Taste of Perkins was our most successful ever, with over $80,000 raised to support the vital programs and services Perkins provides to over 500,000 people on campus, in our community, and around the world each year.

As the evening began, blindfolded guests were guided to tables where they sampled savories and sweets without the benefit of sight to get a "taste" of what life is like every day for students at Perkins. Tasting tables were full throughout the evening and "Oohs" and "Aahs" were interspersed with laughter as volunteers guided more than 225 guests to their seats in Dwight Hall where Perkins students Omar Jomaa, 16, and Anton Sviridenko, 21, performed on the piano. Attendance far exceeded past years, giving this event the feel of a genuine Perkins tradition.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the generous donors, sponsors, and committee members who made this event possible. We could not have done it without you and hope to see you all at next year's Taste of Perkins!
