Perkins events bring together a community of supporters who help raise awareness and critical funds for Perkins' innovative programs and services. We encourage you to support Perkins by attending, sponsoring or volunteering at one of our exciting events.

Wine Tasting to Benefit Perkins: Gordon's Fine Wine and Culinary Center of Waltham, MA is hosting a Blind Wine Tasting of M Chapoutier wines on July 17th at 7 p.m. to benefit Perkins School for the Blind. Cost is $30 per person. M. Chapoutier has been producing Braille labels since 1995 in tribute to Maurice de la Sizeranne, one-time owner of an acclaimed Hermitage single vineyard and inventor of the abbreviated version of Braille. Taste of Perkins: Save the Date for October 6th (tentatively) for our second annual Taste of Perkins event.  Stay tuned for more information to come.  Our 2008 event was a grand success and was the talk of the town!  Learn more about this fun and exciting event! You won't want to miss it!

2010 Perkins Boston Marathon Team: Applications for the 2010 Perkins Marathon Team will be available in early September. Stay tuned for more information. This past year, Perkins was selected as one of the Boston Athletic Association's official charities for the 113th running of the Boston Marathon®. The Perkins 2009 Boston Marathon Team collectively raised over $170,000. Congratulations to our team! Meet the dedicated individuals who ran for Perkins!

Vision 5K: On June 7, 2009, world-class runners and weekend walkers came together at the annual Vision 5K event, funding programs and services that enhance the quality of life for thousands of children and adults who are blind or visually impaired. Learn more about this inspiring event!  It is still not too late to show your support!

2009 Perkins Possibilities Gala: On May 7, 2009, Perkins School for the Blind hosted its signature Gala event on campus.  Over 600 Perkins friends joined us for an exciting evening complete with a cocktail reception, dinner, special musical guest Natalie Merchant, and a one-of-a-kind live auction.  Our event raised over $1.25 million dollars!   Learn more about our exciting night!
